Mercury is in search of an Account Manager and an Account Executive who excels in marketing and PR

We believe that strong and effective marketing and communications can make a huge difference across all sectors. We are a full service agency and we are looking to recruit an Account Manager/Executive with extensive experience in a busy agency or high output team – focused on outcomes!

The role of Account Manager/Executive at Mercury is to work alongside clients on a day to day basis – planning, organising and controlling assignments and campaigns. The successful candidate will be working across a mix of B2B and B2C accounts. Responsibilities will include:

Building great client relationships
Crisis management
Internal communications
Writing copy for press releases, features, award bids, presentations etc.
Project management
Checking all written material before it goes to clients for approval
Budget control and financial administration
Liaison with third party suppliers and agreement on budgets for bought-in services
Development of new opportunities on existing business and new business
Production of tactical plans to deliver strategic campaign objectives
Keep abreast of, and adopt new developments and techniques within the communications sector
Responsible for monitoring the achievement of KPIs and presentation of results

Skills and Experience required:

Experience in marketing and public relations
Experience managing a number of accounts or projects simultaneously, with the ability to multi-task
A full range of strong writing skills, including speech writing, presentations, newsletters, website copy, features and proposals
Excellent standard of English and grammar
Commercial awareness
Creativity and knowing when to use creative techniques
